Video & Online Counselling… a good choice
Couples Counselling by internet is a modern, convenient and effective method to access Couples Counselling
Better Access and Convenience for Couples
Often couples have not sought the help of a Couples Counsellor for a range of logistical reasons. Issues like having small children and no support for ‘babysitting’, confidentiality and privacy, long distance from the clinic, rural/intestate or overseas locations, time, working hours, or partners in are in different geo locations.
In these situations, couples counselling via online video/zoom or phone becomes a useful and convenient option or necessity. It allows you both to participate in marriage counselling even when one partner is at home while the other is still at work or physically too far away.
Many of the same time proven marriage counselling techniques are used in these sessions to help couples get marriage to the point of feeling solidly connected, respectful, intimate, loving and much more fun being together.
There are however, some issues that we advise against using online couple counselling, and that is family and sexual violence or abuse. If you are in a relationship that is either violent and/or abusive, then we encourage you to seek out a Social Worker, Psychologist or Counsellor who specialises in this area.
Video, Zoom & Online Couples Counselling
Anywhere in Australia or the world where there is a good internet connection, and you have a computer or a mobile phone that has a camera, then video / zoom couples counselling is available to you and your partner.
Anther highly beneficial aspect of online couples counselling is that it adds a degree of comfort because you are both in an environment that you are familiar with and typically feel secure in it. You are not having to drive some distance to the counsellor’s consulting room of which you may not particularly feel good in.
When couples are in different locations we can all meet at the same time despite being in different time zones.
The counselling sessions themselves are mostly what one would expect a typical marriage counselling session to be like. Couples will discuss with the counsellor the issues they are struggling with in their relationship.
The couples counsellor will help you develop strategies to address the issues and overcome challenges that all lead to an improvement in the marriage.
Telephone Couples Counselling
Telephone couples counselling also provides a safe and private discussion with a marriage counsellor. When you don’t have access to a reliable fast speed internet, or you simply prefer the telephone, it’s easy and convenient to speak to one of our couples counsellors to discuss your situation.
Confidentiality is always important to us, and as an integral part of both video and phone marriage counselling service that we provide. All telephone counselling sessions remain confidential at all times.
Importantly, you will not be contacted by telephone or video at any time for any reason other than for arranged video or telephone counselling appointments.
Marriage counselling by telephone provides a safe, personal and supportive environment for any individual or couple who seek relationship guidance and advice.
